CM Sindh visits families of victims of the Sehwan blasts; announces compensation

SEHWAN: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that police had collected some evidence from CCTV footage of shrine of Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz, relating to the suicide blast at the shrine. He said that police had made arrests based on this evidence. He was talking to journalists after visiting shrine of Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz on Sunday.

Syed Murad Ali Shah said that it is possible that the arrested persons might be involved in suicide blast at shrine and CTD was investing the arrested suspects. He expressed sadness on the death of devotees of lal Shahbaz Qalandar. He said that all accused would be punished including those who were involved in the throwing of parts of dead bodies of suicide victims at drainage and garbage dumps in city. He admitted that the security was low at shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar at the time of the blast.

He said that terrorists were coming from abroad. He said that persons involved in propaganda against government on this serious matter were equally responsible for the terrorist activities and this was the time to show unity and fight against terrorists.

Syed Murad Ali Shah visited the house of deceased police constable Abdul Alim Panhwar at village Khairo Panhwar who had lost his live during duty at shrine of Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz. He offered condolnces to the relatives of deceased constable AbdulAlim Panhwar. CM Sindh also went to the houses of deceased 16 years old Zeshan son of Khuda Bux Lakho and Ayaz Ali Solangi residents of Sehwan city who also lost their lives in the blast. He offered condolences to the relatives of the deceased. He also announced Rs 1.5 million compensation for every deceased of the blast, Rs 1.2 million for per person with serious injury and Rs 0.5 million per person with minor injury, caused by the blast.
