QUETTA: The Balochistan interim Chief Minister Aalludin Marri has said that the martyrdom of the victims of the August 8th 2016 attack on the Civil Hospital in Quetta will never be forgotten.
The attack on Civil Hospital claimed the lives of 74 people including 54 lawyers and led to over a 100 injuries.
The CM has shown great appreciation for the security forces in curbing the backbone of terrorism and successfully leading a operation against the perpetrators of the attack.
The CM expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and said that the terrorists wanted to weaken and destabilize Balochistan for ulterior motives and has said that the Pakistan Army was commendable in conducting the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad to eliminate terrorists.
Marri further said with determination that the spirit of the people Balochistan will remain resilient and cited Balochistan’s lawyers as an example.
The whole province is observing a black day in memory of the martyrs and all court proceedings have been boycotted.
