9 Afghan nationals held in northern Sindh districts

JACOBABAD/SHIKARPUR: The Jacobabad CIA team arrested 08 Afghan citizen and Shikarpur Police have arrested 01 afghan citizen, on early Sunday morning. According to CIA In-charge Jacobabad, Sharif Mahar, after the Sehwan Sharif bombing Jacobabad Police has taken strict measures in the district. During spot checking, CIA police have succeeded in arresting 08 Afghan citizens, However after verification police have released five Afghan citizen including Juma Khan, Atiqullah, Quduratullah, Abdul Ghaffor and Rahamdil, who were identified as traders, while Rahmatullah, Saeed Gul and Juma din has been detained and an FIR has been registered against them at Sadar Police Station over the charges of foreign act whereas, further investigation is underway, Mahar concluded. Separately, Khanpur police have arrested 01 Afghan citizen named Faheem Pathan and seized one bag from his possession. He was apprehended from a coach at Khanpur-bypass and handed over to Shikarpur police for further interrogation, the police said. Talking to local journalists of Khanpur, Faheem Pathan said that I am motor mechanic in Kaabil and due to illness I was heading to Karachi for treatment. Talking to Daily Times, Muhammad Shah Kazmi, the Shiite leader of Khanpur questioned his intentions particularly as Khanaspur is a sensitive town where one bomb blast had been foiled in the past by the citizens and the police on the 1st day of Eid in the previous year while 2 bomb blast incidents have occurred in Khanaspur. He demanded of the high ups to investigate this matter more deeply.
