Mafia adopts new ways to grab land in capital suburbs

ISLAMABAD: Khan Bahadur, the alleged killer of his own wife, fired on his own leg just to grab hundred acres of precious land worth billions of rupees, owned by an executive of a foreign bank Kamaluddin.

The strong land mafia has adopted new techniques to grab land in the suburbs of Islamabad. On Sunday the accused Khan Bahadur who is admitted in PIMS after getting wounded had attacked the guards of Kamaluddin along with his cohorts.

The accused wanted to grab the land illegally. An eye witness said that he fired on his leg with his revolver in the presence of many persons under the jurisdiction of Tarnol police station. Kamaluddin has given an application to the police against Khan Bahadur.

The eyewitness told the police that the guards of Kamaluddin did not have any revolver with them at the time of the attack by Bahadur Khan. He tried to threaten the guards by showing his revolver and then all of a sudden he fired a bullet on his own leg.

The police record says that the owner of the land Kamaluddin had registered many cases against Khan Bahadur for making efforts to confiscate his land. Khan Bahadur had also constructed a room forcibly on the land of Kamal, despite the stay order from the court of law. The case of the crime was not only registered at Tarnol police station, but the matter is also under hearing at the Islamabad High Court.

The police sources said that Khan Bahadur was also involved in the murder of his wife besides grabbing the land of other people.

He allegedly buried his wife within the premises of his house. He also confessed his crime during the interrogation. However he was released on bail after making reconciliation with his brothers-in-law.

The police is trying to reach the facts behind the case The hospital sources said that bullet which hit him was fired from an extremely near position and it was possible that he may have hit it himself.

The gang leader of the land mafia, Khan Bahadur also used fake stamp papers and bogus documents for snatching the land of many people including the plaintiff Kamaluddin.
