ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court resumed the hearing of the Bani Gala encroachment case today.
The Survey General officer appeared in court and the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar asserted that the court was not satisfied with the performance of the Survey General.
He said that the survey general was unable to complete the survey with regard to the boundaries of the Korang Nala and the capital.
The Survey General, however, informed the court that in order to do such a survey they need the relevant maps and records.
The CJP ordered the Ministry of Finance to provide the Survey General the relevant records today. He said that if any government department refuses to comply with the orders of the court, then an inquiry will be launched against them.
The CJP further said that the courts must function properly because the court proceedings are a result of tax payers money.
The CJP also said that Imran Khan filed the case about Bani Gala encroachments and since his government is about to begin, he expects that Imran will oversee the court proceedings and serve as a example for the country.
