Senior PTI leaders including Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar and Central Secretary for Foreign Affairs Dr Shahzad Wasim were also present during the meeting.
EU Ambassador Jean-François Cautain greeting the PTI chairman expressed his hope that the new government to be formed under his leadership will further promote the bilateral relations besides improving the business ties.
He said that the EU has tied great hopes with the upcoming government of PTI as it is being led by a committed leader and comprises the members capable of changing any scenario.
Speaking on the occasion, PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that improving relations with countries especially the neighbours would be the top priority of his government.
He said that Pakistan highly values bilateral ties with EU and desires to improve and strengthen them further.
