The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) will organize concerts and events to celebrate the Independence Day with full zeal and fervour in the districts of Kasur, Sheikhpura and Lahore.

Flag raising ceremony will be held at Hazori Bagh Lahore, on the eve of August 14 in which students of different educational institutions will participate and. A demonstration of massive fireworks will also be part of the celebration which will be witnessed between the night of 13th and August14. A concert will also be organized in Hockey Stadium Lahore in which various singers will perform in front of the audience.

Director General LDA Amna Imran Khan revealed that LDA will raise funds for construction of dams. She said that LDA will also be holding various competitions among the public on the theme of Independence Day and would distribute prizes and certificates among winners.

She informed that Metropolitan Cooperation Lahore will display banner and hoardings along with fixed portraits of twenty leaders who played a vital role in Pakistan Movement. To make communication between various departments easier for the smooth arrangement of events, a control room has been made functional in LDA Office.
