Open market: The dollar remained firm against the rupee, dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 122 for buying and closed at Rs 122.50 for buying after 50 paisas upward variation in value and stood at Rs 122.70 for selling. The euro remained flat versus the rupee as it started day’s trading at Rs 137 for buying and with no change in value it closed at Rs 137 for buying and at Rs 137.20 for selling. The pound remained firm against the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 153 for buying, closed up by 25 paisas in value for buying and closed at Rs 153.45 for selling.
