CJP takes notice of physical torture on 10 year old by Mosque Imam

ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar has taken notice of the physical abuse subjected on ten year old Zohaib in Sheikhupura.
The ten year old Zohaib was beaten mercilessly by the Mosque Imam over stealing a few rupees. When his father went to the police station to register a FIR against the Mosque Imam, the police kicked him out claiming that he was father of a thief.
The Chief Justice has issued a notice to the DPO of Sheikhupura and has ordered a report. The Chief Justice has also ordered the DPO and the police personnel at Sheikhupura to appear in court on 7th August.
