ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday, after outcry of opposition parties, has also demanded probe into the fault in the Result Transmission Service (RTS) software.
According to sources, the PTI leader Azam Swati has submitted a call-to-attention notice in the upper house of parliament (Senate) to investigate the reasons of failure of the software on election day.
Moreove, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has also penned to the Cabinet Division asking it to constitute the committee in this regard.
Earlier,on election day, the ECP faced severe criticism regarding delaying in election results. Responding the criticism, the ECP maintained that the collapse of the RTS system was the reason of delay in the results.
