LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Sunday ordered twelve death sentences to Kasur child rape convict, identified as Imran Ali, pertaining to the rape and murder of three more girls.

Moreover, the court has fined Imran Rs6 million and ordered him to pay Rs3 million as ‘blood money’ to the victims’ families.

The convict has already been sentenced to death by the same court in a case pertaining the rape and murder of a seven-year-old, Zainab.

Ali has been sentenced for the rape and murder of seven-year-old Noor Fatima, eight-year-old Laiba Umar, and five-year-old Ayesha Asif. He is yet to be sentenced over similar charges involving three more girls in Kasur.

ATC Judge Sajjad Ahmed is conducting daily hearings of the cases inside Kot Lakhpat jail where Imran is imprisoned.

On Januray this year, Zainab who was seven years of age was discovered lifeless in a garbage pile, five days after she was kidnapped from Kasur.
