HYDERABAD: The Sindh National Tehreek’s (SNT) representatives on Saturday termed the ‘specialised conglomerate’ of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) as ‘an insult to the voters of Karachi’, who confided in the leadership of Imran Khan, during a joint press conference in the Hyderabad Press Club.

Reportedly, SNT leaders including Ashraf Noonari, Lala Qurban Sodhro, Najeeb Ahmed Thebo, Jhangi Mallah, Dr. Uzma Jokhyo,Jhangi Mallah, Dr Abida Siddiqui, Akhtar Sindhi and others denounced the ‘give-and-take’ 9-point agreement between Imran Khan and MQM.

“The agreement has proven that Imran alike Nawaz and Zardari prefers power at all costs, and sidelined his much-trumpeted principles,” they said while urging the general public of Karachi to reject PTI, or otherwise, their ‘alliance’ could engender turmoil in Karachi.

They said that the people of Karachi have attempted to get rid of MQM’s slavery after the period of 40 years by trusting in Imran Khan, but to no avail. “PTI has left the people of Karachi at the mercy of urban terrorists and extortionists,” they stated, adding that Sindhis would never accept a creation of new province or even a separate administrative unit as they consider it a conspiracy to divide Sindh.

They further accused MQM of imposing their rule of ‘terror and fright’.

“The agreement has left scars on the politics of Imran Khan, and Sindhis would never allow any political party to sabotage Karachi,” they maintained.
