Fatal highway

Author: Daily Times

Sir: The deadly road (one-way) that is 136 Kilometers long and that starts atSehwan, going all the way to Jamshoro, has caused irreversible harm in recent times, especially in terms of life and prosperity.

This is mostly because, this busy highway has only one section of road on which all types of vehicles can be found, including trucks, trawlers, cars, and vans that run from both directions that can eventually lead to severe road accidents and loss of life.

Due to it being a one-way road, accidents occur on a regular basis, almost every day in fact, and result in the unnecessary death of several precious human lives. This life-threatening issue has been taking a toll on the commuters’ lives for years, yet the relevant authorities have always remained quite in this regard and done nothing to improve the situation.

I therefore humbly request the Sindh government and other related authorities to look into the matter on an urgent basis, and allocate a suitable budget for the construction of a two-way road between Sehwan and Jamshoro, so that precious lives of the commuters that have to use this route ever day can be saved in the time to come.
