Police official commits suicide in Khairpur

KHAIRPUR: A deputy superintendent of police (DSP) in Sindh committed suicide by allegedly shooting himself with his pistol on Saturday.

According to details, Mir Khair Muhammad Talpure alias Mir Khairal Talpure fired himself with pistol in his house located in village Rahooja Pir Jo Goth and died on the spot.

His body was shifted to Pir Jo Goth hospital for autopsy and was later handed over to his relatives.

Khair Muhammad was posted in district Jacobabad and was disturbed after his sudden transfer to another Tehsil, police sources confirmed.

The cause of the apparent suicide is not known yet.

Police have started investigation to probe into the matter.

The sad incident happened on a day when ‘Police Martyrs Day’ was being observed countrywide to remember the brave police officers who sacrificed their lives for the country and its people.
