PAKPATAN: Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday visited, amid tight security, the shrine of Baba Farid in Pakpatan.
Justice Saqib prayed and laid a floral wreath at the saint’s shrine.
After that, he talked to the media and stated, “I came here to pray for the prosperity of our country.”
On his arrival, a woman from the Gujranwala staged a protest in front of CJP and told him that his brother was in jail owing to a fake murder trial.
Mian Saqib listened to the woman and assured her of justice.
Another person complained that more than 25000 people have been fighting in the courts for their ownership rights on the Auqaf land they possess for many years.
CJP assured him that the justice will be done in this case as well.
