ISLAMABAD: Former Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak has publicly apologized for the use of inappropriate slurs to malign his political rivals during election campaigning.

In a public message, he said that he has already apologized to the Election Commission regarding his misconduct. He said that he didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s sentiments and his intent was only to highlight the problems within society.

He said that during campaigning the buying and selling of votes is another manifestation of corruption and he was trying to highlight that, however, he apologizes if he hurt anyone’s sentiments.

This apology comes after the former CM made very controversial remarks regarding the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), discrediting himself even with the Election Commission.
