Independent Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) elect of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mufti Obaidur Rahman along with a delegation called on Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and senior central leader and former deputy PM Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at their residence on Friday and announced to join PMLQ along with his supporters.

On this occasion, Members of National Assembly-elect Tariq Bashir Cheema and Hussain Elahi and Senator Kamil Ali Agha were also present while the delegation including KP Provincial President Mahbubullah Jan, Dr Muhammad Hanif, Malik Shahbaz, Malik Muhammad Afzal, Noorul Hassan, Abdul Rahman, Muhammad Qazi, Ghulam Ali and others.

MPA-elect Mufti Obaidur Rahman said that Chaudhry Sahiban has a great place in politics of Pakistan and their family is religious.

“Keeping in view tolerant traditions of the family, I have decided to join PMLQ,” he said.

PMLQ President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that after the centre and Punjab, “our party will also support Tehreek-i-Insaf in KP. People keep coming and going in politics but we do not leave our colleagues”, he said.

Former PM Shujaat Hussain said that our family is God-fearing and we will continue playing our positive role for the security of the country.

Shujaat Hussain appointed Mufti Obaidur Rahman as parliamentary leader in KP Assembly.

Afterwards, a Dua-e-Khair was offered for security and solidarity of Pakistan and progress of PMLQ.
