At least one person was killed and another suffered injuries when a dumper hit a motorcycle in the metropolis on Friday. Police said that a speeding dumper ran over the motorcycle on I.I. Chundrigar Road. The person driving the motorcyclist died on the spot, while the pillion rider was critically injured and was taken to the hospital where he was reported to be in a critical condition. The body was shifted to the hospital for a medico-legal examination. The dumper driver fled the scene but the police have impounded the dumper and registered a hit-and-run case against the driver.
