COAS and Maldives High Commissioner review regional security

RAWALPINDI: Maldives High Commissioner in Islamabad Ahmed Saleem on Friday held a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, according to a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The matters concerning regional security and mutual interests were analysed to enhance bilateral relationship between the two countries.

The Maldivian High Commissioner acknowledged Pakistan’s struggle and sacrifices in war against terrorism to achieve stability in the region.

A day earlier, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Barlybay Sadykov discussed bilateral security matters with the COAS.
