CPNE sets up International Relations Committee

KARACHI: The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) president Arif Nizami on Thursday announced to constitute a CPNE International Relations Committee (IRC), according to a statement issued by the CPNE secretary general Dr Jabbar Khattak.

He said that the approval of establishing the IRC was made during a recent meeting of the Standing Committee of CPNE.

According to the announcement, the IRC aims to establish and promote mutual coordination between member editors of the region and International fraternity, new trends in the media, create awareness about utilization of information technology and interlink regional and international organisations. The committee will be liable to inform the Standing Committee of CPNE about its decisions and recommendations.
