24 children injured in school bus accident

PESHAWAR: At least 24 primary school children sustained critical injuries on Thursday in a fatal accident between a school bus and a truck in Matni area of Peshawar.

Reportedly, nine of the injured children were rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital where two of them were in critical condition.

The rescue officials said that 15 injured children were administered first aid at the accident site, and then shifted to the Government Nasrullah Khan Babar Memorial Hospital in Peshawar. Meanwhile, schools in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have reopened after two-and-a-half month summer break.
