Two suspects killed in police encounter at Khayaban-e-Sir Syed

Two suspects were killed when a police encounter took place in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed on Wednesday.

According to details, alleged police encounter occurred near Pirwadhai police station in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Rawalpindi wherein two suspects were killed in police firing.

According to police, two suspects named Amjad and Sohail were involved in three cases of murders, robbers and terrorism.

Police said that arms and looted valuables recovered from possession of the suspects.

Capital Police Officer Rawalpindi spokesman said that the police approached a gang of robbers fleeing after committing a robbery in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Pirwadhai police station jurisdiction.

Upon sight of police, the robbers started firing and tried to flee from the scene.

In retaliatory firing of police, two alleged robbers were killed on the spot while their other accomplices managed to escape. Arms and looted valuables were recovered from possession of the killed robbers.

The spokesman claimed that the two robbers wanted in several cases including murder of a cop were killed in firing of their own accomplices.

The bodies were shifted to hospital for postmortem and the police after registering a case into the incident started an investigation.
