UK envoy calls on Imran Khan

British High Commissioner in Pakistan Thomas Drew called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday and felicitated him over the victory of his party in the recently held general elections.

DFID Country Head Joanna Reid, PTI’s Central Secretary for Foreign Affairs Dr Shahzad Waseem, Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, senior party leaders Jehangir Tareen and Asad Umar were also present on the occasion.

During the meeting, both sides pledged to further strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Speaking on the occasion, Drew expressed the hope that under the incoming PTI government, relations between the two countries will further strengthen and cooperation in different fields will grow.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan thanked the high commissioner for his good wishes.
