ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League(AML) Chairman Sheikh Rasheed and leader of Jamaat-e-Islami(JI) has demanded the chairmen of Federal Board of Revenue and National Accountability Bureau to tender their resignations after Supreme Court grilled both for not probing assets of premier’s family on Tuesday.

Reaction of the two political parties has come in today after chiefs of the two institutions appeared before bench of the Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday’s hearing of Panama Leaks case.

SirajulHaq said that it proved today that government’s institutions held only the poor accountable and not the affluent persons.

Sheikh Rasheed demanded the chiefs of the national institutions to tender their resignations for not probing the premier. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf representative FawadChaudhry said that the Supreme Court educated chiefs of FBR and NAB about their jobs.

A corruption reference against Nawaz Sharif’s family is being heard in the apex court over petitions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Awami Muslim League and Jamaat-e-Islami.

The case was taken up by the court last year.
