‘Queen’ starlet Kangana Ranaut’s plays a fearless character Miss Julia in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon.
The character is claimed by WadiaMovietonePvt Ltd to be based on real life Australian stunt woman Mary Evans, also known as ‘Fearless Nadia’.
According to sources, a lawsuit has been filed against director Vishal Bhardwaj for copyright infringement.
In response, Kanganadismissed the claim and mentioned that it wasn’t based on anyone dead or living. “I think there is some legal hassle around that. First of all, we cannot comment on a matter when it’s already in the court, but we can assure you that it’s not based on any living or dead person,” Kangana stated.
Rangoon is set to hit the theaters on February 24, 2017.
