89 policemen punished in Kasur over ‘corruption’, ‘incompetence’

Kasur: 89 police officers and force members punished on Wednesday over the charges of incompetency, corruption, substandard investigation, absence, improper patrolling, and miuse of authority in the district.

DPO Kasur, Syed Muntazir Mehdi informed the media that the punishments include dismissal from service, demotion, confiscation of service years, fine and stop increment.

Three Sub-inspectors and one Assistant Sub-inspector faced the penality of rank demotion on the charges of the susbstandard investigation.

Those who were punished include 17 inspectors, 18 sub-inspectors, 17 assistant sub-inspectors and 32 constables. Mehdi stated that there is no room for sluggish, dishonest and corrupt people in the department.

However, he further added that the dutiful and honest officers and force members will also recieve the awards accordingly.
