STP chairman Qadir Magsi steps down

HYDERABAD: Sindhi Nationalist and political leader, Dr Qadir Magsi has resigned from the post of chairperson of Sindh Taraqi Pasandi Party (STP).

In a press conference, he asserted that this was the most rigged election in the country’s history and the results speak volumes about the fairness of the electoral process. He further said that the only reason he wasn’t able to win the Nawabshah seat was because of blatant rigging and claimed that Asif Ali Zardari had dreamt of contesting elections without an opponent but the ground reality was quite different in the Nawabshah constituency.

He said that his decision to resign comes in light of the fact that there are unbalanced systematic standards.

He further argued that Imran Khan has always been known as the “Uturn leader”, as he’s fond of changing his political positions after issuing a statement. He also exclaimed that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaaf (PTI) are both similar in nature.

Magsi also mentioned Nawaz Sharif, arguing that the position of being the Prime Minister and fighting for the plight of democracy is far better than the challenges Nawaz has had to face after disqualification.
