FIA arrests eight human traffickers from Gujranwala

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) teams on Sunday launched a crackdown against human traffickers, and detained eight suspects during several raids in Hafizabad, Sialkot and Gujranwala.

Reportedly, the accused including Muhammad Waris, Zeeshan Shah, Tahir Iqbal, Naseer Ahmed, Abdul Hassan, Sajjad Ahmed, Nasir Ahmed and Muhammad Afzal were involved in transporting people abroad illegally.

Man dies, another injures in knife attack over money dispute

A man died and another person sustained severe injuries on Sunday following a dispute of Rs 12,000 in Kohluwala area of Gujranwala.

Reportedly, Zulqarnain and Chand had quarreled over the dispute.

Meanwhile, Chand died on the spot when Zulqarnain along with his accomplice Ghazanfer attacked Chand and Sohail with a knife.

The deceased’s body was shifted to the DHQ Hospital for autopsy whereas Sohail has been undergoing treatment.

The Sadar police have started investigation into the incident.
