MCL declares Postal Life Insurance building dangerous for living

Data Ganj Bakhsh Zone of Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) Planning Department has declared a Postal Life Insurance’s building dangerous, which is located at Nabha Road opposite the Supreme Court Registry.

According to notices, Data Ganj Bakhsh Zone building inspector has declared the extra back part of this building dangerous whereas its stairs have been declared the most dangerous.

This dangerous building is a serious threat to the people living in the building and may cause any untoward incident. The inspector of this area has directed the Postal life Insurance director to repair this dangerous part immediately or demolish it to avoid any an unpleasant incident in future.

He also directed to evacuate the part of a building which is declared dangerous and obtain structure stability certificate from a qualified structural engineer before bringing into use. Otherwise, strict action would be taken as per law.

On the other hand, MCL has called a Budget Meeting today (Monday) at Town Hall.
