LAHORE: The Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department will register all barbers, coiffeurs and beauticians across the province.
The decision to this effect was taken at a joint meeting of the Punjab AIDS Control Programme and the Punjab Hepatitis Control Programme on Tuesday.
According to details, biometric registration of barbers, hairdressers, beauty salons would be carried out across the province.
Also, the department will vaccinate those engaged in these services against hepatitis B at registered outlets.
Following the registration, a mass awareness programme will also be conducted.
The project will be extended to the rest of the province soon.
