RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has decided to give pink motorcycles instead of pink scooters in five districts of Punjab under ‘Scooty for Working Women’ project.
The Punjab Planning and Development Department has approved Rs90 million for the project. The working women would be provided with Atlas Honda Motorcycles instead of scooters. The decision has been made to save higher expenses to be incurred on the scooty project.
The districts which fall under this scheme are Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Gujranwala, and would involve motorcycles for around 20000 women.
