Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Naeem-ul-Haq Saturday said that party chairman Imran Khan will take oath as prime minister of Pakistan before August 14.
Speaking to media in Bani Gala, Haq said that by agreeing to attend the oath-taking ceremony, the mainstream parties at the all-parties conference took a very positive decision. He said the Election Commission of Pakistan and the president of Pakistan will summon a session of the assembly soon to administer oath to the newly elected representatives.
Haq said the PTI will form government in Centre, Punjab and KP for which Imran Khan is working day and night. “We are in contact with the independent candidates and the nation will hear good news in a couple of days,” he stated.
The PTI leader condemned the negative role played by Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal chief Fazl-ur-Rehman, adding that the JUI-F leader is still showing a negative mindset. “Fazl should know what the people of Pakistan want,” he said.
Haq criticized party’s opponents and said that they should accept their defeat and must not create hurdles for the PTI. Responding to a question related to contact with PPP, he categorically denied any contact with the PPP to form a coalition government in Centre. He also clarified that Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jehangir Tareen are on the same page and news about any conflict between them is baseless.
