The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership is set to get together in Lahore on Sunday (today) to decide if those winning national assembly seats on its ticket will take oath as parliamentarians or not. The meeting has been summoned by party president Shehbaz Sharif in view of his discussions with leadership of other parties that participated in the All Parties Conference held on Friday. Speaking to the media after the APC, Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal’s Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced that those winning on the tickets issued by the five party alliance would not take oath as parliamentarians. Instead, he said the MMA, alongside other opposition parties, would agitate for a re-election. However, the PML-N president said that he needed time to discuss the matter with party leadership. PML-N quaid Nawaz Sharif is likely to take a final decision in the matter on behalf of the party.
