The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the results of all 270 National Assembly (NA) seats for which the polling was held on July 25 across the country.

According to the results, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leads the NA tally with 116 seats. Trailing is the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) with 64 seats and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) with 43 seats.

The Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), an alliance of religious parties, bagged 13 NA seats. Independent candidates also won in 13 constituencies.

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) got six seats, whereas Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) secured four seats each. The Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) and the Balochistan National Party (BNP) won two seats each. Awami Muslim League led by Sheikh Rasheed, Awami National Party (ANP), and Jamhoori Wattan Party secured one seat each.

Twelve independent candidates have also triumphed in their constituencies and are likely to play an important role in formation of the federal government.

Recount on at least five NA seats, however, means that the final result may differ from the count released by the commission on Saturday.

Elections on two NA seats were postponed by the ECP and will likely be held with by-elections on seats vacated by leaders who have won more than one seats.

In the Punjab Assembly, the PML-N bagged 129 and PTI 123 seats as per the results announced by the ECP for the total of 295 seats. The PML-Q won seven seats, PPP six and Pakistan Awami Raj one seat. Independent candidates elected to the provincial assembly stand at 29.

In the provincial assembly, only the result of PP-1 (Attock) is awaited. In the House of 297, polling wasn’t held on PP-87 and PP-103 due to the death of the contesting candidates.

In the 129-member Sindh Assembly, the PPP maintained its majority with 76 seats while the PTI managed to get 23, MQM-P 16 and GDA 11 seats.

Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan won two seats while the MMA bagged one seat from the province.

The result for the provincial assembly, with 130 seats in total, is complete as polling in PS-87 (Malir) was postponed after the death of a candidate.

The recently-formed Pak Sarzameen Party which comprised of MQM-P defectors led by former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal failed to win even a single seat in the provincial assembly.

In the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, the ECP declared results of 96 out of 97 seats where the PTI has managed a majority by bagging 65 seats.

The MMA has won 10 seats while the ANP got six and PML-N five seats. The PPP could only win four seats in the province while six independent candidates also made it to the provincial assembly.

Polling in PK-78 and PK-99 constituencies was postponed due to the death of candidates in terrorist attacks.

The ECP has declared results for all 50 Balochistan Assembly seats that were up for grab. The newly formed Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) bagged 15 seats, followed by MMA which secured nine seats in the assembly. The BNP won six seats; PTI four seats, and the BNP-Awami and ANP three seats each.
