Police arrests a suspected target killer affiliated with MQM-L

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a wanted target killer affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) on Saturday.

Spokesman of CTD said that an operation was conducted at Korangi road based on an intelligence tip-off regarding the presence of a wanted criminal.

He said that during the operation, a wanted target killer identified as Asif Khan, a close aide of notorious target killer Raees Mama, was arrested.

According to the CTD spokesman, the detainee admitted in the preliminary investigation that he had killed Sub-Inspector (SI) Sajid in 2009 and was also involved in firing on van in Chakra Goth.

The suspect is in police custody and investigations are underway.
