Sir: Imran Khan’s maiden and inclusive speech has won the hearts and minds of the people of Pakistan. Even his opponents were forced to praise the speech. In the speech, he highlighted core issues such as the eradication of poverty and corruption in line with the Chinese Model, announcement of governors and PM house for Public welfare, an open border with Afghanistan and better trade relations with India.
He also hinted that foreign policy and mutually beneficial relations with the US are also needs of the hour. In addition, he said that accountability will start from himself and he also offered his cooperation on investigating the potential rigging in these elections, which is a positive step. But at the end, speeches are easy to deliver but harder to act on. It’s high time for Imran Khan that he should turn his dreams into a reality for Pakistan and fulfil the promises he has made. Eventually his actions will speak louder than his words.
