KARACHI: The dollar closed flat in value against the rupee in the interbank and open market, currency dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 104.40 for buying, with no variation in value closed at Rs 104.40 for buying and Rs 104.60 for selling in interbank. The euro witnessed some downward trend against rupee as it started day’s trading at Rs 110.44 for buying, closed at Rs 110.10 for buying and closed at Rs 110.30 for selling after shedding 34 paisas. The pound sterling remained firm against local currency as it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 129.85 for buying and closed at Rs 130.30 for buying and Rs 130.50 for selling after gaining 45 paisas.
Open market: The dollar remained flat against the rupee, dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 107.30 for buying and closed at Rs 107.30 for buying after no variation in value and stood at Rs 107.50 for selling. The euro remained flat versus the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 113 for buying, and with no change in value it closed at Rs 113 for buying and at Rs 113.20 for selling.
