FAISALABAD: The Returning Officer on Friday ordered to recount votes for the NA-108 constituency after PML-N leader Abid Sher Ali challenged the election result after he lost to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Farrukh Habib.

While talking to Daily Times earlier today, Abid said that he has submitted an application for recounting and has a hearing scheduled at 2:30 PM.

PTI candidate Farrukh Habib has managed to bag 112740 votes leaving behind PML-N candidate Abid Sher Ali at 111529 votes, the difference between the two candidates is merely 1211 votes.

It must be noted that the number of rejected votes in the NA-108 constituency is 5177.

Earlier yesterday, while speaking to Daily Times he also asserted that the election results were completely fraudulent and he along his party will not settle for such blatant rigging.
