National Party of Pakistan terms elections ‘engineered’

National Party of Pakistan (NPP) while terming general elections 2018 ‘engineered’ announced that it would be participating in All Party Conference (APC) called by head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan (JUI-F)) Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman.

It is expected that members of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and other political parties would meet JUI-F chairman in an APC and decide what the future course of action would be.

During a press conference at Karachi Press Club (KPC), NPP President Senator Hasil Bizenjo said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had failed at holding ‘free, fair and transparent’ elections in Balochistan and the rest of the country.

“A large number of registered voters at several constituencies in Balochistan were made to wait for long hours by the election staff. The election progressed in an unusually slow manner and BNP’s polling agents were made to leave the polling booths,” said Bizenjo.

“We had been kept asking Returning Officers and other election staff to take swift steps but no action was taken by them and it all went in vain,” added the NPP president.
