With 18 contestants fighting for the constituency, the voter turnout was recorded as 37.90 percent.
Total registered voters were 226,627, including 126574 male and 100,053 female.
Meanwhile, jubilant supporters of PTI gathered, celebrated Qadri’s victory and enjoyed a spectacular fireworks show in Landi Kotal. Reportedly, the balloting was a first experience for the voters after merging of FATA into KP and the process was observed peaceful.
However, election results of NA-44 were delayed due to some technical issues, according to RO’s office. The tribesmen expressed satisfaction over effective security measures and arrangements set up by the provincial election commission.
