ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will meet same fate as that of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.
Talking to the media outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan after hearing in Panamagate case on Wednesday, Siraj said that arguments of the attorney general of Pakistan indicated that a new national reconciliation order (NRO) was being prepared.
Referring to the government’s stance that the authority of the premier can’t be challenged under articles 62 and 63, he said the apex court has had the right to give ruling against the prime minister as it did against former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.
Responding to the row that broke out between journalists and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) minister outside the SC, he said such incidents were not even witnessed during Musharraf’s regime.
