PMLQ lauds ECP for ensuring peaceful elections

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) President and former prime minister Hussain and PMLQ Senior Central Leader and former deputy PM Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi have said that the elections were fair and transparent.

“We pay tributes to the Pakistan Army and the Election Commission of Pakistan on ensuring peaceful atmosphere for elections,” they said.

They said this while responding to questions from the media after casting their votes in Gujrat on Wednesday. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that patriotic forces should come to the fore in the election irrespective of whether former PM Nawaz Sharif is in or out. He said timely holding of general elections is a very good thing.

“We have seen fair and transparent polling. What will be the results, Allah knows better but only patriotic forces can solve the problems of the country and the nation,” they maintained.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that it is a good to note that the voters have come out in very big numbers.

He said that elections were held transparently for the first time and no complaint of any nature was received. Also, the Pak Army did very good work in ensuring peaceful atmosphere of the election for which they deserve appreciation. He said that due to better arrangements, voters felt themselves safe for the first time in 38 years.
