31 killed, several injured in Quetta blast

QUETTA: Explosion in Quetta has left 31 people dead and several others injured outside a polling station near Eastern Bypass in Quetta on Wednesday.

According to rescue sources, the explosion occurred near a police vehicle on routine patrolling.

The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Abdul Razzal Cheema said that the injured have been shifted to the Sandeman Provincial Hospital.

The SHO Bhosa Mandi is reportedly  among martyrs of the blast.

However, the Chaman border between Pakistan and Afghanistan was closed on Tuesday in wake of the general election on Wednesday (today) in Pakistan.
