Inquiry committee setup to probe into Punjab TB Control Programme report

Primary & Secondary Health Secretary Ali Bahadur Qazi on Tuesday constituted two separate inquiry committees to probe into the global fund report on Punjab Tuberculosis Control Programme and other programme related complaints.

The committees have been asked to take appropriate measures as per rules/policy.

The first committee which would conduct inquiry into the TB Control Programme comprises Primary & Secondary Health Department Special Secretary Dr Ayesha Saeed as convener while other two members of the committee included Additional Technical Secretary Dr Shahnaz Naseem and Hepatitis Control Programme Project Director Dr Zahida Sarwar.

The committee may also co-apt any member if the convener deems necessary.

The second committee which would conduct inquiry into the issues and complaints related to integrated reproductive, mother, new born and child health and nutrition programme would also be headed by Dr Ayesha Saeed while the other members are Dr Shahnaz Naseem, Dr Zahida Sarwar and Directorate General Headquarters Director Dr Haroon Jahangir Khan.

The committee may also co-apt any member if it deems necessary and shall complete its tasks within two weeks.
