Youngsters seem to have pulled up their socks and rolled up their sleeves to vote for their favourite candidate during the General Election 2018.

In this connection, the preparation for the same remained at its peak the whole day on Tuesday. First-time voters seem to be the most excited as they will be participating from their respective constituencies.

Despite the election campaigns from candidates and political parties coming to an end in compliance of Election Commission of Pakistan’s orders, youth remains active in their own area and motivated to cast vote in favour of their favourite candidates.

Die-hard young supporters can be seen wearing t-shirts of their preferred parties and chanting slogans on the streets.

Iqra Gilani from NA-130 constituency, while talking exclusively to Daily Times said that she is very excited to cast her first vote.

“I will cast my vote in favour of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf because we should give at least one chance to PTI Chairman Imran Khan,” she said.

Twenty-three-year-old Zile Huma said that this would be the first year she will be voting.

“My vote is for change and Imran Khan is the hope Pakistan has to experience change,” she said also while talking exclusively to Daily Times.

Another youngster, Usman Gondal from PP-127 told Daily Times, “My vote is for Tehreek-i-Labbaik because we are in dire need of change which cannot come without the implementation of Islamic law.”
