KARACHI: The spokesman of Sindh Government categorically denied the rumours being spread through the social media about the law and order situation and stated that the caretaker Sindh government has taken foolproof security measure in connection with the General Elections-2018.

According to a statement issued by the interim government’s spokesman on Tuesday, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) are continuously vigilant of the law and order situation. He added that a sufficient number of law enforcement personnel including army, rangers and police have been deployed in the polling stations to ensure that culprits do not succeed in their nefarious causes.

The spokesman further appealed to the masses not to pay heed to rumours and cast their votes without any fear.

“The Government is well aware of its responsibility of safeguarding the lives and properties of the masses. We have managed all our resource to hold a ‘free, fair and transparent’ election,” he assured.
