A pillar under KPT interchange flyover will be converted to a vertical garden. This step is aimed towards making Karachi a better place for citizens to live in.
The inauguration ceremony will be organized by the ‘I am Karachi’, a city wide movement comprising of concerned citizens and civil society organizations. Over the next few months until IPAF 2018 is held, IPAF will collaborate with development, corporate, social and governmental organizations to develop 4 vertical gardens under bridges, 12 public art pieces and 4 urban forests across the city.
By making Karachi green, IPAF aims to achieve its objective of reclaiming public space. IPAF will also bring international artists to Karachi who will work jointly with local artists and students to beautify the city and improve its environment.
