Farhan Saeed calls out celebs for not voting in today’s elections

Author: Daily Times Monitor

While most celebrities choose to stay politically neutral to avoid the risk of pushing away fans who may not agree with their political views, others embrace politics. Not only the political parties, but everybody who has a reach such as TV channels, brands, celebrities and bloggers are calling everyone out to use their right to vote and make a difference as it is our civic duty.

However, there are people who are not taking the elections seriously, then complain about the leadership of the country for the years to come.

Pakistani singer, Farhan Saeed who has sung the anthem of PTI’s election campaign addressed his fellow celebs who have chosen to fly abroad for work or vacations during election time.

The “Sunou Chanda” actor took to his Twitter account and tweeted, “All the people from my fraternity & otherwise travelling abroad at such a crucial time is so heart-breaking. Please let’s not take our country’s future for granted.”

Although Farhan did not mention anyone, his tweet was about the several Pakistani celebrities, who are currently flying out of country for the rehearsals of Hum Awards on the 28th in Toronto, easily ignoring the general elections due to be held tomorrow.

It is quite strange that while things are usually planned well, the Hum Awards were not scheduled before the date for National Elections was announced.
