Major terrorist bid to attack LEAs, university students foiled

LORALAI: Paramilitary Frontiers Corps and intelligence agencies on Wednesday thwarted a major terrorist plot to attack law enforcement agencies and university students in Loralai district of Balochistan.

According to a statement issued by ISPR, as part of the ongoing countrywide operation, Radd-ul-Fasaad, Frontier Corps and intelligence agencies conducted a joint targeted operation in Killi Shah Karazi against the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and JamaatulAhrar (JuA) network.

The statement said that 23 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered during the operation.Reportedly, the IEDs were transported to the area by TTP to target law enforcement agencies’ vehicles and Loralai University buses.

According to the ISPR, the law enforcement agencies’ (LEAs) timely action averted a major terrorist incident.

Operation Radd-ul-Fassad was launched yesterday across Pakistan to root out terrorists.
