Anti-PPP forces all set to challenge PPP in its stronghold

LARKANA: Political dynamics in Larkana have emerged in a complex form as Larkana Awami Ittehad (LAI) converges all anti-Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) forces on a single platform including Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA).

Reportedly, LAI, MMA, GDA and other small political forces of Larkana on Sunday staged a joint-massive power show where a crowd of thousands of people gathered at Royal roundabout and chanted a slogan ‘Go Zardari Go’.

Meanwhile, MMA candidate for NA-200 Rashid Mahmood Soomro, candidate for PS-11 Moazim Ali Abbasi, Haji Munawar Ali Abbasi, Dr Safdar Abbasi, Akbar Shah Rashdi, Dado Allah Bux Unar, Riaz Chandio, advocate Qadir Bux Bhatti, advocate Nadia Ashraf and others addressed the public meeting.

The leaders alleged that the former provincial government of Sindh committed massive corruption, looted provincial resources and governed poorly and ineffectively.

They claimed that their parties were contesting elections to induct a change in government policies for the betterment, prosperity and development of Larkana and Sindh province.

They further said that fundamental rights of the poverty-stricken masses would be secured, if their candidates are elected.

“Our political rivals have been crippled, and they would face miserable defeat in the upcoming general elections,” they said, adding that July 25 would certainly mark the defeat of corrupt politicians. “We will bring back the looted money of Pakistan while the corrupt politicians would be held accountable for their wrongdoings,” they added. The leaders urged the general public of Larkana to cast their votes to their candidates, and get rid of feudal lords, ‘Jagirdars’ and ‘Waderas’.
